With the advent of Issue 12 and Powerset Proliferation, I’ve run into a bit of a dilemma. I have the current pair of villainous twins, Raelith and Raeleth. Raelith is my powerhouse, kick ass Dominator, and Raeleth is my lesser played Electric/Energy Brute. The main cause of this dilemma? Is the addition of Electrical Assault for Doms. Going back to the beginning of CoV, I had originally wanted to roll a Plant/Elec dom, but settled on Plant/Fire because it looked like a lesser used combo that looked like it’d be fun. (And it is lots of fun).
I have mixed feelings on Electrical Assault (the tier 9 is Sparky?!?!?) but I’ve heard that it’s fairly solid from a trusted source ingame, and there are enough powers that I can work out a passable blastroller build.
My problem is that the name Raeleth is perfect for said plant/elec, but is taken by a brute I’m not entirely certain I’d want to delete. Raeleth 2.0 was originally a dark/elec brute that was deleted, and said elec/nrg brute was renamed to Raeleth. (I think she was the original Midnight Azhure, who is now an ice/dark corruptor.) Do I fork out another $10 for a second rename for this poor brute, or do I delete a level 23 brute to free up the name. Though the trickiest part will be to get the height to match that of Raelith. The last time I tried to get the heights close, Rae and Rael were still off by just a smidge. and if I rename Rael to free up the name, what do I change her name to? Rael is taken (I’ve seen the toon in passing – a blaster no less.) Azhure is taken (ironically, I’ve seen that toon in passing as well. Azhure was a brute.) If there are any suggestions, I’m open to them while I sort out the names of what the newbies will bring.
Yes, I12 is going to introduce a few toons on my part. I also need to come up with a name for my Widow VEAT as the name on test I have in use on the live servers on a completely different toon.

What are the chances of getting the same exact recipe on back to back RSF’s? Insane I bet. Radi got a Freebird:Stealth drop at the end of her RSF run and then Rae got the same an hourish later. I should go back to collecting SHO’s for a bit on em – maybe I’ll get two micro’s back to back. Heh. At least I know the Freebirds will sell for a decent amount.
Oh, and 45 minute RSF runs? Rock mightily. Seeing the dialogue “Positron has defeated Manticore” rocks even more. Damn I love Seeds of Confusion. Having the competing team wipe in the last mish due to a frisky cat? Not as much fun as they were literally a minute or so behind us.

This is very fucking cool.
The temporary title’s already worn off of Rae, but getting a custom title by a dev is still damned nifty. Long story short, the elusive Arachnos Flier was spawned by a dev playing Ghost Widow earlier tonight. Tons of screenies were taken and need to be sorted through. GW ended up giving titles first to those who wound up getting Toy Collector back in December, (a random criteria I know) then ended up giving em to the group that stayed afterwards. Some were changed frequently and were frelling hilarious.
The event rundown will be posted tomorrow when I’m more awake.

I was running Rae earlier tonight, enjoying a bit of downtime discussing the Mu Mastery set when this male toon comes up to me and starts chatting.
Him: “hi”
Me: “hi”
Him: “I’m from China. Are you US Woman?”
Me: “yeah” (having a feeling where this is going)
Him: “How old are you?”
Me: “old”
Him: “I’m 17 years old. How old are you?”
Me: “30-something”
Him: “Here’s my email address :www.xxxxxatxxxxx.xxx.xx.cn”
Him: “what’s yours. I can send you picture”
Me: (This is where I stretched the truth just a wee bit to see if he’d still bite or abruptly disappear.) “Sorry, can’t do that. I don’t think my husband would appreciate it.”
Cue no response, and he did vanish right after I said that.
He was asking some of the same questions to said SG mate and we were comparing notes in Coalition chat. Turns out I was the recipient of the heavy flirting. Sure I could have been a total bitch and led him on further, but I wasn’t up for snarking at that time.

Drama aside, this weekend was good for precisely one thing: Mistress Macabre, ninja herder extraordinaire and wielder of diabolical traps, went from Threat Level 8 to Threat Level 12 in the course of a single day. This means that she finally has a Jounin to summon.
Let me digress for a moment. One of my two favorite heroes to play is Woods Cutter, a toon that’s generally agreed to be my “main.” He’s a Katana/Regen scrapper, and part of his charm is the visceral thrill of one-shotting minions with his badass uppercut sword attack.
The Jounin? He’s a baby katana scrapper. The first time I heard that distinctive “sshhhing!” sound effect I giggled like a madman. Of course, now I want to get to 24 so I can order two of those guys around. Bwahahaha!
The Mastermind AT is the only reason I picked up CoV in the first place, and it remains my AT of choice even though I have a soft spot for the Corruptor AT as well.

In all of my time playing my higher level MM, she’s only faceplanted in an insanely stupid situation, like me seeing a pack of Gold Brickers and having Dark a kill or two away from the badge and getting cocky and faceplanting. Which, for 21 levels, playing a squishie, is very frelling good.
Until last night. The Twinlet and I were running the Dynamic Duo and a fellow SG-mate asked to team up with his stalker. Okay, sure. Plow through a mission or two until we agree to do his. He’s a level above us and set to the same difficulty level as us. Okay, fine. Get in the mission and we see nothing but (to the two of us) red and purple Sky Raiders and plenty of Porters. This means deep purple for our first tier henches and an interesting challenge.
An hour and a half later, the mission finishes, Dark faceplants 4 (or was it 5?) times, Sarge lost it a couple times and I was extremely frustrated fairly early on into the mission when it was apparent that two MM’s and a Stalker spelled disaster.
Part of it was the stalker inherent, part of it was adapting our playstyle on the fly, and dealing with a mob type that is going to be hellish for MM’s in general.
Note to self… when playing MM’s, small teams with Stalkers and Brutes is a Bad Idea.
