Villainish Drift

After 756 hours in the Rogue Isles, Rae finally dinged the big 5-0. Keep in mind that her actual gametime is likely closer to 600-650 hours as she almost has all 6 held badges, and has the first 4 damage badges.

I don’t know who my next project is – I’m thinking of working on Frost til she dings 47 and can slot all of the nice, yummy Hami-O’s that have her name written on em.

Bah. I also need to remember to slot the 53’s Rae currently has in base storage. *inserts reminder here*

Raeleth is the latest addition to the stable of many, having started out as another possible name for Graevity. Only Raeleth is the twin sister of Raelith, even though Rae never started out with a twin, somehow these lasses are writing their own biographies without my permission. And they’re getting good at it.

I will say that Rael(eth) and Rae(lith) have a fondness for a particular power and that Rael is turning out to be a fun one as well. That also means I need to get my ass in gear and work on a build for her instead of picking any random power. I guess the fun part is going to be guessing which one is which. *evil smirk*

…or Recluse’s Strike Force, for those 45+. The strike force that was introduced as a contest on Test, yep that one. Only, this time it was toned down after the recent AV rollbacks. Even then, it’s still a corruptor festival, but a friend finished it on a team with no corruptors – bringing hope to the unwanted AT’s for the SF.

Some was starting a team in the early evening, Rae was a bar and a half away from 45 so I decided to pipe up and volunteer. After all, I’m not one to turn down someone wanting a domi for this beast. An hour later Rae dings (and ironically thats how long I said it would take) and the leader of that group tells me that he’s full, too bad so sad, better luck next time. Ooookay. That’s not the point of this entry.

So… I take Rae out to Siren’s to work on the timed badge for a bit, partly as a small break for me, partly because it’s needed for an accolade (which is a rant for another time). Not five minutes into Siren’s, but I get a tell asking if I’ve got 4 hours free. Only if it’s where I think this is headed. Sure, I’ll gladly sign away 4 hours of my life to jump on this beastie…

I’m sitting here, having found a way to get Rae her damage badges, though it’s a slower and more tedious way than for Stormy, and I was thinking of how she could at least start on the healing badges. After all, I’ve only used 3 of the 4 pools on her, and she does have a pet. Pets take damage and pet heals count for the healing badges. So. I’m seriously thinking of giving her Aid Other so she can have Seymour stand in the fires in Mercy to take damage.

The only drawback to this? I was planning on taking the Mu pet at 47, so Grant Invisibility would have to go to make room for Aid Other. This would be the one power change that I seem to use her respecs on. And if I can wait til 47 I can sell all of her soon to be stale enhancements and buy fresh 50’s.

I was running Rae earlier tonight, enjoying a bit of downtime discussing the Mu Mastery set when this male toon comes up to me and starts chatting.

Him: “hi”
Me: “hi”
Him: “I’m from China. Are you US Woman?”
Me: “yeah” (having a feeling where this is going)
Him: “How old are you?”
Me: “old”
Him: “I’m 17 years old. How old are you?”
Me: “30-something”
Him: “Here’s my email address :www.xxxxxatxxxxx.xxx.xx.cn”
Him: “what’s yours. I can send you picture”
Me: (This is where I stretched the truth just a wee bit to see if he’d still bite or abruptly disappear.) “Sorry, can’t do that. I don’t think my husband would appreciate it.”
Cue no response, and he did vanish right after I said that.

He was asking some of the same questions to said SG mate and we were comparing notes in Coalition chat. Turns out I was the recipient of the heavy flirting. Sure I could have been a total bitch and led him on further, but I wasn’t up for snarking at that time.
